The following advisors have provided assistance and guidance in the early development of MobileGates™:
- Howard "Skip" Speaks — Current CEO of Rosum Technologies
- Mr. Speaks is the former President and CEO of Kyocera Wireless Corp, a leading manufacturer of CDMA wireless phones and accessories with over three thousand employees. Kyocera Wireless Corp. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Kyocera International Inc., which acquired QUALCOMM Incorporated's CDMA consumer wireless phone business in February, 2000. Kyocera Wireless Corp. is a leading supplier of innovative, feature-rich CDMA handsets and accessories for customers worldwide. Before joining Kyocera Wireless, Mr. Speaks served as CEO of Triton Network Systems and as Executive Vice President and General Manager of Ericsson's North American wireless division and network operations group.
- John Cunney — Current Vice President of Media Venture Partners
- John assists MobileGates™ with our corporate financing, business development, finance and strategic planning. Prior to MobileGates™, John was a Principal on the Communications and Wireless Investment Banking team at ThinkEquity Partners, LLC. John was also a Vice President of Telecom Investment Banking at HSBC and spent 7 years at JP Morgan, most recently as a Vice President focusing on the mobile technology and telecommunications sectors. John received his MBA from New York University and his BA from Tufts University.
- Yancy Oshita — Current Vice President of Marketing at Wimba Software
- Yancy assists MobileGates™ with positioning the company's business development, strategy and marketing. He was most recently Chief Marketing Officer with INFONXX, the world's largest independent provider of directory assistance and enhanced information services. Prior to INFONXX, Yancy was with Oracle where he led global strategy and marketing for the telecommunications and media vertical and spearheaded the company's expansion into integrated customer management and service delivery platform solutions. Previously, Yancy held a number of management positions at Terradata, AT&T and NCR. Yancy earned his M.B.A. from University of Dayton, and his bachelor's degree from California State University.
- George Kellerman — Former VP of International Business Development, Yahoo Japan
- George served as SVP, Business Development, at Interchange Corporation (Local.com), and as VP, International Business Development, at Yahoo Japan Corporation, the leading internet portal and ADSL provider in Japan. George also served as a licensing attorney at Yahoo! Inc. and as a corporate securities and M&A attorney at Venture Law Group. George received his JD from the University of California, Berkeley, Boalt Hall School of Law, and his BA from the University of Hawaii.
- Sunir Kochhar — Current VP of Technology/Products, Disney Mobile
- Mr. Kochhar's is assisting MobileGates™ in developing marketing strategies and advising the Company on technology and operational issues. Mr. Kochhar has 17 years experience in the telecommunications industry having served as COO at McCaw Cellular Communications and Executive VP at AirTouch International. He successfully introduced the second wireless company in Italy, which grew to $450 million in revenue in the 1st year of operations. Mr. Kochhar holds an MBA in Finance at the University of Denver, a MS EE from Kansas State University and a BS EE (Honors), Birla Institute of Technology.
- Bill Nusbaum — Former VP of Business Development, SBC
- Mr. Nusbaum assists MobileGates™ with strategic issues relating to partnering with the major Telco's. He also served as Senior Vice President at Pacific Telesis. He has expertise with public offerings (AirTouch, $1B IPO) and multi-owner sales of high tech companies (Bellcore $1B in revenues) and has Big 5 Consulting experience. Mr. Nusbaum served as Counsel to the Legal Department at Bank of America, where he provided regulatory and contract representation for the bank's telecommunications, electronic banking and investment departments. Mr. Nusbaum holds an MBA from the University of San Francisco, and a Jurist Doctor, Cum Laude from the New England School of Law.
- Mark Hawkins — Former Partner, ETA
- Mr. Hawkins has a 20-year background in various sales &marketing including business development capacities with companies such as United Airlines and Control Data. Mr. Hawkins pioneered online travel booking systems with Internet Travel Network (now Getthere, Inc.). Other Web startups include ShopNow.com and SmartShip, Inc. In 1996. Mr. Hawkins and eBay founder, Pierre Omidyar, started Electronic Travel Auction (ETA), one of the Internet's first B2C exchanges. All companies have either been acquired or are trading publicly. Hawkins has a BA, Business Administration from the University of Colorado and is completing his MBA at the University of Advanced Research.
- Nelma FitzGerald Current Vice President — Marketing, LINE-X Corporation
- Nelma has been recognized as one of the most dynamic and creative marketing executives in wireless communications and information technology for over 16 years. Recently, she offered strategic marketing counsel to The Walt Disney Company for a new wireless venture. At Infonet, FitzGerald headed e-business initiatives worldwide — doubling product revenue in a year. She jumpstarted her career with LA Cellular (AT&T) in 1993 where she helped double the subscriber base through database marketing techniques. In 1996, Sprint PCS was successfully introduced in California with FitzGerald overseeing product management, distribution and business development. FitzGerald graduated magna cum laude from the University of the Philippines with a B.S. in Business Economics and received her M.B.A. in International Finance and Marketing from UCLA.
