MobileGates Names Yancy Oshita as Chief Operating Officer

INFONXX and Oracle veteran joins executive leadership team.

LA PALMA, CA, September 9, 2006 - MobileGates, a leader in mobile and location-based applications, has announced Yancy Oshita has joined as Chief Operating Officer. Yancy will be responsible for overseeing the company's product and business development, sales and marketing efforts and helping to shape our long-term, global strategy.

Prior to joining MobileGates, Yancy was the Chief Marketing Officer for INFONXX, the world’s largest provider of directory assistance. At INFONXX, Yancy was responsible for shaping and positioning the company's strategy, services, and new technologies, including oversight of Marketing, Product Development and Management, as well as oversight for new service innovations. Some of his key achievements included spearheading the company’s new initiatives to penetrate outsourced care and mobile 411 enhanced services and pioneering the company’s business intelligence initiative.

Prior to INFONXX, Yancy was with Oracle, where he most recently led global strategy and marketing for the telecommunications and media vertical, and spearheaded the company's expansion into integrated customer management and service delivery platform solutions. He also was senior managing director in Oracle Consulting's telecommunications practice, where he successfully oversaw one of the company's largest CRM implementations. Previously, Oshita served five years at Teradata, where he was most recently director of Global Telecommunications Industry Marketing. He spearheaded the product strategy and eventual launch of Teradata's first packaged customer retention solution for wireless providers. Before Teradata,Oshita held a number of positions at AT&T and NCR, including director, Cross Technology Initiatives, director, Product and Industry Marketing, and regional sales director.

Oshita earned his M.B.A. from University of Dayton, and his bachelor's degree from California State University.
